Crispin Glover roped in for HBO Max's Red Bird Lane

The psychological thriller is written by Sara Gran and directed by David Slade

Crispin Glover has been roped in as a series regular for the upcoming HBO Max' psychological thriller Red Bird Lane. Glover (Charlie's Angels, Back to the Future) will join Susan Sarandon on the show.

Red Bird Lane will be helmed by David Slade, who is well known for directing thrillers like 30 Days of Night, Hard Candy, as well as some episodes of Breaking Bad and Hannibal.

According to Deadline, Red Bird Lane, written by Sara Gran, will follow eight strangers who arrive at a desolated house, all for different reasons. Upon arrival, they realise that something sinister and terrifying awaits them. Glover's character, Jonah, is amongst the eight and he arrives at the house for money. 

Apart from Glover, actors James Urbaniak, Jamie Clayton, Rya Kihlstedt, Grantham Coleman, and Damon Dayoub will join previously announced stars Susan Sarandon, Kiersey Clemons, Isidora Goreshter, Danny Huston, Ash Santos, Fiona Dourif, Dizzie Harris, and Tara Lynne Barr.

The series will be executive produced by Gran, Slade, along with John Wells and Erin Jontow for John Wells Productions.
