Quintessa Swindell has been roped in to play the superhero character Cyclone in the upcoming DC film, Black Adam, which is headlined by Dwayne Johnson. The announcement was made by the Jumanji star on Twitter.

“Ready to rumble! A pleasure to officially welcome, Quintessa Swindell to our Black Adam cast. They’ll be taking on the role of Cyclone. Can’t wait to work with them and we're ready to rumble in the DC jungle,” Johnson tweeted. He further added that production on the project will begin in Spring 2021.

Swindell, known for their performances in Netflix’s Trinkets, will join a cast that comprises Noah Centineo and Aldis Hodge.

Black Adam will introduce Johnson to the DCEU. While the project was initially slated for release in December 2021, it has been indefinitely pushed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
