Actor Arya Banerjee was found dead at her Kolkata residence on Friday. She was 35. 

Arya had essayed one of the leads in Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010), besides appearing in The Dirty Picture (2011).  She was the daughter of late sitarist Nikhil Bandyopadhyay. 

According to reports, Arya was living alone during the Covid-19 pandemic. She was found lying face down on the floor of her house. There were no injury marks on her body. The police, who broke open the door to enter the apartment, found some blood droplets on the floor. The investigation is on.
