Indian Air Force slams AK vs AK makers for inappropriate use of IAF uniform

The trailer of Anurag Kashyap-Anil Kapoor's upcoming film, AK vs AK has landed the makers in trouble as the Indian Air Force has slammed the inappropriate use of their uniform. The IAF has demanded the removal of such scenes from the film.

The trailer of AK vs AK, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, was released recently, which features few scenes of Anil Kapoor wearing the IAF uniform.

Meanwhile, a source close to the films said, "Anil Kapoor is not playing someone from an IAF commodore. Anil Kapoor is dressed in an IAF uniform because he’s on set shooting a film when he is interrupted by Anurag Kashyap who confronts him in the Vanity Van. Anil is in costume. Anurag tells him that Anil has only 13 hours to rescue his daughter - Sonam, who has been kidnapped. Anil runs out in his costume which happens to be a uniform - the film is set over the course of that one night."

A tweet from the official Twitter handle of the IAF read, "The IAF uniform in this video is inaccurately donned & the language used is inappropriate. This does not conform to the behavioural norms of those in the Armed Forces of India. The related scenes need to be withdrawn."

The makers are yet to respond to IAF.

Meanwhile, the film is all set to release on Netflix on December 24.
