We had previously reported that 8 Thottakal director Sri Ganesh is teaming up with Atharvaa for a film titled Kuruthi Aattam. The first look of the film was released yesterday on Twitter. It features a bloodied Atharvaa who has been stabbed on the back with several knives.

Speaking about the first look, Sri Ganesh says, "Backstabbing is an important element in the film and we wanted to showcase its significance to the story in the first look itself. We've also made sure that the rest of the key characters are portrayed as a sketch in the backdrop."

He goes on to add, "The film is in post-production and we are currently working on the background score." Yuvan Shankar Raja is handling the music. This is his third collaboration with Atharvaa after the actor's debut film Baana Kaathadi and 2018's Semma Botha Aagathey.

On the film's release plan, Sri Ganesh says, "We are yet to confirm the release date, but it will surely be a theatrical release."

Said to be an action entertainer, Kuruthi Aattam stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. It also features Radha Ravi and Radhika in important roles.
