Actor Harish Kalyan, filmmaker Elan, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja are reuniting for a coming-of-age film. The trio's previous venture, the 2018 romantic comedy Pyaar Prema Kadhal, was widely acclaimed.

Speaking about the project, Elan says “It’s a hero-centric story that depicts a life journey, and so there are three parts to it – the hero when he is a child, a young adult, and then at adulthood.”

Elan is excited to work with Harish again. “There aren’t many actors out there who can pull off a role like this. I really believe that Harish can pull this off with conviction. I know his strengths and weaknesses, and we have a good rapport. So it will be easier to work with him as well.”

Elan says the film will be another musical, one with even more songs than Pyaar Prema Kadhal.

While there’s no official information regarding the rest of the cast and crew, the title and first look of the film will be revealed next week. Auditions are currently underway for the female lead.

The film is produced by Screen Scene Cinemas. Shooting will start towards the end of February, with Mumbai, Chennai, and Ooty planned as the locations.

Harish, who was last seen in Dharala Prabhu, is also starring in Oh Mana Penne, the upcoming Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Pelli Choopulu.
