Rajinikanth, who recently had a meeting with the representatives of Rajini Makkal Mandram, has now announced that he will be launching his political party in January. In a tweet, he announced that a formal announcement about the same will be made on December 31.

He wrote, "We will win the upcoming assembly polls with people's support, and it is assured that Tamil Nadu will witness an honest, transparent, uncorrupt, secular, and spiritual government. A wonder... a miracle... will happen!!!"

Rajinikanth had assured that he will be making his political entry way back in 2017. The actor's recent statement has come in the wake of rumours that he is indecisive about his political entry due to health issues and the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Rajini's upcoming film with director Siva, Annaatthe, is still in production.
