Chetan to make his Telugu debut

The untitled bilingual, made in Telugu and Kannada, will feature the actor playing the role of a dirty cop

Chetan of Aa Dingalu fame, will be making his Tollywood debut soon. The eight-film-old actor and activist, has signed a yet-to-be-titled film to be produced by music director Sai Karthik along with Srikanth. The project will be helmed by famous screenplay writer Chakravarthy, and its technical crew and cast will be from Tollywood.

The film will be a bilingual, made in Kannada as well. The Telugu version was launched in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Chetan, who will be seen playing the role of a dirty cop for the first time, will start shooting for the film in Hyderabad soon. The shoot is expected to go on for a month. "It is a good role and a great team to be associated with. Moreover, cinema is an art that transcends linguistic boundaries. A good actor must be able to reach all kinds of audiences with good content in any language. That is what I aim for," says the Myna hero.

Chetan, who is looking forward to the release of Ranam, also has a film titled Maarga in the pipeline, which will also be a Telugu-Kannada bilingual. The actor is expected to start shooting for it from January.
