We had previously reported that director Karthick Naren of Mafia fame will soon be working on a film with Dhanush that will have music by GV Prakash. The makers, Sathya Jyothi Films, confirmed this with an official announcement earlier this year and the film was tentatively called D43. 

Recently, a section of media reported that composer Sean Roldan, who worked in Dhanush's Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 and the actor's directorial debut Pa Paandi, had replaced GV Prakash in the project.

Instead of just refuting the rumours, GV Prakash took to Twitter to announce the status of the project thereby confirming his inclusion in the film. He wrote that three songs had been completed for D43 and that he was starting the recording of the fourth song. 
 

D43, which is touted to be a thriller that will have Dhanush playing a journalist, marks the actor's fifth collaboration with composer GV Prakash after Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, and last year's Asuran. It is also his third project with Sathya Jyothi Films after Thodari and Pattas.

D43 will star Master-fame Malavika Mohanan as the female lead.
