Rockline Venkatesh to play an important role in Ravichandran's Kannadiga

The upcoming historical drama is helmed by Giriraj BM

Award-winning director BM Giriraj’s upcoming film, Kannadiga, starring Ravichandran, is being shot at a fast pace and almost  80 per cent of the shoot has been completed. It has now come to light that producer-actor Rockline Venkatesh will be seen in a major role in the film. He will be seen playing the friend of Ravichandran's Samanthabhadra.

The duo has previously worked together in films like Rasika and Preethsod Thappa

Exclusive stills from the historical drama shared to us by the team feature Ravichandran donning the look of the scholar and warrior, Samanthabhadra. 

The film, produced by NS Rajkumar, marks the Kannada cinema debut of Jamie Alter. It will also feature senior actor and director Chi Gurudutt in a pivotal role, along with Pavana, Jayashree, and Bhavani Prakash. The ensemble cast also includes theatre artistes.

Giriraj, who is currently busy with the post-production work, plans to complete the shooting of the remaining portions soon.

Kannadiga has music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by GSV Seetharam.
