Nani's V to have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime

The neo-noir thriller directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna will reportedly premiere on Amazon Prime on September 5

Nani's upcoming film V is going to forgo theatrical release. The Indraganti Mohan Krishna directorial, which was supposed to be released on March 25, was postponed indefinitely due to Coronavirus-triggered lockdown.

The makers have since initiated talks with several OTT platforms to sell the streaming rights of the film. According to the latest reports, producer Dil Raju has decided to opt for a digital release and the film will now premiere on Amazon Prime on September 5.

Touted to be a neo-noir thriller, the film presents Nani as an Army man-turned-serial killer and Sudheer Babu in a cop's role. Nivetha Thomas, who rose to fame with Indraganti's Gentleman, has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Sudheer Babu, while Aditi Rao Hydari of Sammohanam fame is paired with Nani.

Shot across Bangkok and Hyderabad, V has music by Amit Trivedi and background score by SS Thaman.
