Doctor Strange sequel pushed back to 2022

The latest film release to be delayed further amid the ongoing worldwide COVID-19 crisis is the sequel of Doctor Strange. Disney and Marvel Studios have pushed the release of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness to March 25, 2022.

The studios had earlier decided to move it to November 5, 2021, but shifted the dates again to the following March.

Benedict Cumberbatch is set to return as the Sorcerer Supreme in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness after his 2016 debut in Doctor Strange. He has also made subsequent appearances in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor will reprise their roles as fellow sorcerer Wong and Strange's compatriot-turned-nemesis Karl Mordo.Elizabeth Olsen has come on board to reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda Maximoff. Rachel McAdams will not reprise her role as Strange's colleague Christine Palmer.
