Venom sequel officially titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage 

Directed by Andy Serkis, the sequel will see Tom Hardy returning as investigative journalist Eddie Brock

We had previously reported that a sequel is in works for the 2018 superhero film Venom. It's now known that the sequel has been titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The production house Sony Pictures revealed the title on Twitter.

It was earlier speculated that the sequel might be postponed from the original release date of October 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The new announcement confirmed this and revealed June 25, 2021 to be the new release date.

Directed by Andy Serkis, the sequel will see Tom Hardy returning as investigative journalist Eddie Brock who becomes the host for the alien symbiote Venom. Woody Harrelson, who made a brief appearance as Cletus Kasady at the end of Venom, will be returning as the antagonist who hosts another symbiote.
