Warner Bros pushes release of several films including The Batman

Warner Bros has shuffled its DC film lineup, including Matt Reeves' The Batman, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Robert Pattinson-starrer, which was initially set to hit the screens in June 2021, has been pushed to October 1, 2021.

Other Warner Bros films that have been delayed include The Sopranos prequel, The Many Saints of Newark, which has been moved from September 25 to March 12, 2021. The release of  King Richard has been delayed by a year from November 25, this year to November 19, next year. The untitled Elvis Presley film, starring Tom Hanks, has been moved from October 1, 2021, to November 5, 2021.

The Flash, which was set for release on July 1, 2022, will hit theatres a month earlier on June 3, 2022. Shazam! 2 has been pushed from April 1, 2022, to November 4, 2022.

Earlier, Marvel too shifted the release dates of several of its upcoming films, including Captain Marvel 2 and Black Panther 2
