Kangana Ranaut donates Rs 5 lakh to FEFSI's COVID-19 relief fund

Kangana Ranaut is the latest to join the list of celebrities who have come forward to lend a hand in the fight against coronavirus. The actor has donated Rs 5 lakh to the Film Employees Federation of South India's (FEFSI UNION) COVID-19 relief fund.

In addition to that, she has also given Rs 5 lakh for the daily wage workers who are part of her upcoming Tamil film, Thalaivi.

On helping daily wage workers during the lockdown, Kangana had earlier stated: “We all are doing our bit and also donating for this. Our huge concern for the economy has landed us all in the situation where we are with no concern for human well being.”

A biopic of former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa, Thalaivi, directed by Vijay, marks the second project of Kangana in Tamil. She first made her debut here with Dhaam Dhoom, opposite Jayam Ravi.

Many actors, including Rajinikanth and Vijay, have come forward to help people with financial support. Some celebrities like Chinmalyi went a step ahead in raising funds using their talent for the COVID-19 victims and the needy.
