Director Nalan Kumarasamy, who last directed the 2016 romantic comedy Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian, has been missing in action since. However, the filmmaker is now back in the news with two projects in line.

Reports suggest that Nalan has teamed up with Studio Green for these projects, and the scripts for both films have been completed. While one is said to be a commercial action film, the other is rumoured to be a sports drama. An official announcement can be expected after the cast and crew are finalised.

Meanwhile, it was also recently announced that a sequel for Nalan’s debut hit Soodhu Kavvum is in the works. While this project will be produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment, it is unclear if Nalan will be directing it. 

Nalan, who worked as a scriptwriter for CV Kumar's directorial debut, Maayavan (which also has a sequel in the offing), was one of the writers for Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe.
