During an Instagram live session with Tessa Thompson and Mark Ruffalo, Taika Waititi revealed several details about his upcoming Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder. 

The director confirmed that Silver Surfer will not be part of the film. However, he did not reveal who Christian Bale was playing and whether Loki will make an appearance in the movie.

Waititi has further said that Thor: Love and Thunder will be ten times bigger than Ragnarok. He has not revealed much about Thor’s appearance in the new film except that “Fat Thor” seemed like something that was done and over. 

In the sequel, Chris Hemsworth will reappear as the God of Thunder along with other returning cast members such as Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Tess Thompson as Valkyrie. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on February 18, 2022.
