Sun TV donates Rs 10 crore for COVID-19 relief work

The  Sun Network, one of India’s leading television networks, has announced that the group will donate Rs 10 crore towards the COVID-19 relief measures. The group announced this with a tweet from the official handle. However, the details about how it will be distributed are yet unknown. 


The coronavirus outbreak has brought the world to stand still, with the Tamil film industry proving no exception. Several actors and media companies have donated in cash and kind to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as well as the FEFSI relief fund which has been rallying to help film industry workers whose wages have taken a hit due to the lockdown.

Recently, Raghava Lawrence had committed to donating Rs 3 crore towards relief measures, from his salary advance for Chandramukhi 2, which is bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

Ajith had also donated more than Rs 1 crore recently towards relief work.
