Covid-19: Nayanthara donates Rs 20 lakh to FEFSI workers

Earlier, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Rajinikanth, Suriya, Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi also donated to the organisation

The film fraternity has been coming together to help the industry workers, especially daily wagers, who have lost their livelihoods following the lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak. The latest to contribute to the cause is actor Nayanthara, who donated Rs 20 lakh to  Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI ).

The association had earlier requested everyone in the film industry, who are in a position to donate, to come forward and help daily wage workers. So far, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Rajinikanth, Sivakumar, Suriya, Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Harish Kalyan, director Hari, Shankar, producer Kalaippuli S Thanu, producer TG Thyagarajan, Radharavi, and Manobala have contributed money to the organisation.

The film industry has been one of the worst affected due to the current standstill as shooting, productions, and releases of films have been stalled across several parts of the world.
