Universal Pictures has roped in director Stephen Willaims, who last directed HBO's Watchmen, to helm its original horror film, Don't Go in the Water.

Though productions have been halted in several places across the world following the recent outbreak of coronavirus, development works for projects such as setting writers and directors are still being carried out.

William's earlier works include Lost, Showtime's Ray Donovan, AMC's The Walking Dead, How to get away with murder, and several other projects over the decade.

The film's script, penned by Peter Gaffney, has not been revealed yet. Don't Go in the Water is said to be a suspenseful monster film. Shawn Levy and Dan Levine will produce the film.
