Rasika Dugal joins Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy

Rasika Dugal has joined the cast of Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy. The actor will be essaying the role of Savita, a key character in Vikram Seth’s novel of the same name.

Rasika will join the cast in Lucknow on October 6 for a month-long schedule. Actors Namit Das, Gagan Dev Riar, Danesh Razvi, Mikhail Sen and Mahira Kakka are also on board for the BBC series. The show is led by Ishaan Khatter, Tabu, and newcomer Tanya Maniktala.

“Working with Mira Nair has been on my bucket list,” Rasika said. “I have always been taken in by the attention to every person in her frame. There are very few films which are made with a lot of sensitivity and a lot of fun — and all her films are that for me.”

Rasika will next be seen Lootcase, which is slated for release on October 11. She’s also a part of Mirzapur Season 2, Delhi Crime Season 2, and an upcoming series titled Dr Kapoor.
