Vadivelu part of Thalaivan Irukkindran?

CE Features

Amid much speculation, Kamal Haasan recently re-confirmed that one of his upcoming projects, Thalaivan Irukkindran, is very much on track. Now, reports suggest that Vadivelu might be roped in for the project.

The veteran comedian was in the news some time ago for Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi. The project was put on hold after creative differences crept in between director Shankar (the film's producer) and Vadivelu. While there has been constant speculation about the project being revived, there is no official word on the status of the film.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions in association with Raaj Kamal Film International, Thalaivan Irukkindran will have music by AR Rahman. Rumoured to be a political film, it was planned four years ago as a Hindi-Tamil bilingual with Kamal playing the lead in Tamil and a Bollywood actor fronting it in Hindi.
