Suriya's next with director Bala to go on floors in January?

CE Features

Director Bala, who last directed Jyotika's Naachiyaar, has commenced the pre-production of his next project, which will star Suriya in the lead.

Earlier this year, Bala directed Varmaa, the Tamil remake of Telugu hit, Arjun Reddy. Supposed to be the debut movie of Dhruv Vikram, this remake was shelved by the producers, who then went on to shoot a new version, with a completely new crew, but still starring Vikram's son.

And now, Bala, who was on a short break since, seems to be back at work with this upcoming Suriya-starrer.

Suriya, who is currently busy with Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru, is expected to start shooting for Bala's film from January. Suriya and Bala have earlier collaborated on Nandha and Pithamagan.

Meanwhile, Suriya's film with KV Anand, Kaappaan, also starring Arya and Mohanlal, is currently playing in theatres.
