We had previously reported that Udhayanidhi Stalin will be playing the lead role in Mysskin's upcoming film Psycho, also starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menen. It's now known that the Nimir actor will be playing a visually impaired person in the film.

In an interview recently, director Mysskin revealed that the film will be based on the Buddhist tale of Angulimala, which is about a brigand who sets out to kill 1000 people in order to collect a finger from each, only to be stopped by Buddha and converted into a monk.

In Psycho, Udhay is said to play a character named Gauthaman, which is an adaptation of Buddha, and a debutant actor, reportedly one of the Mysskin's assistants, will play the equivalent of Angulimala.

With cinematography by Tanveer Mir, Psycho marks Mysskin's third collaboration with Ilaiyaraaja after Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum and Nandalala.
