One of the most exciting announcements from the Marvel Studios Hall H panel at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con was about Thor: Love and Thunder. The director of the film, Taika Waititi, has confirmed that Chris Hemsworth will have an important role in the film.

On being questioned who would play the lead role in the film, the director said, "It’s Chris [Hemsworth]. It’s a Thor film. He is Thor; it’s a Thor film."

About the script of Thor: Love and Thunder, Waititi revealed that he has written only seven pages so far. The director is back to direct the fourth Thor film, in which Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie will be involved in an LGBTQ storyline as she goes on a quest to find herself a Queen to rule New Asgard.

The film is scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.
