Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane have provided a definitive update on the possibility of a reboot or reunion series – and the answer is still the same.

"We will not be doing a reunion show, we will not be doing a reboot," said Kauffman during a Friends 25th anniversary panel at a TV Festival on Friday.

"The show was about that time in life when friends are your family. Anything new is not going to beat what we did. We did the show we wanted to do. We got it right, and we put a bow on it," Kauffman explained, saying that the characters have all moved on in life.

The stars of Friends have been constantly asked about a potential reunion. Jennifer Anniston, who played Rachel, had said, "Why not? I would do it... The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I'm sure. Listen. Anything could happen."

Lisa Kudrow, who played the role of Phoebe, when recently talking about the possibility had expressed interest in coming back, but said it would likely not happen. “If everyone else was doing it, I would do it; yeah. But it's not happening,” she had said.
