Ali Fazal is set to star opposite Gal Gadot in the modern-day adaptation of Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile. The sequel to 2017's Murder on the Orient Express goes on floors later this month in London and parts of Europe.

The Hollywood production is set to be directed by Kenneth Branagh, who will reprise his role as famous literary detective, Hercule Poirot.

Ali, who made his international debut in Fast and Furious 7, recently starred as the lead in Victoria and Abdul.  Confirming the news, Ali, in a statement, said, “Yes I am part of this wonderful journey and I look forward to being a part of it. My mother and I have always been huge fans of Agatha Christie novels."

Death on the Nile follows detective Hercule Poirot as he investigates a set of mysterious events on a cruise ship on the Nile.
