The makers of Darbar had previously released the first look of the next Rajinikanth starrer. The latest development is that the second look of the film will be released at 6 pm today on the occasion of Onam.
The second look of Rajinikanth in Darbar was released at 6 pm today, on the occasion of Onam. The poster features a black vest-clad Rajini lifting an iron bar, flexing his muscles, and a boxing ring can also be seen in the background.
Unlike the first look which had a lot of easter eggs, the makers have kept the second look simple. The poster seems to be an indirect callback to the superstar's iconic shirtless pose in Padaiyappa and just like AR Murugadoss had teased it, a lot of fans have been surprised by the new poster.
The film, featuring Nayanthara as the female lead, has music by Anirudh and camera work by Santosh Sivan. The action drama is Rajinikanth’s 167th movie, and will see the actor as a police officer, which he has played in several Tamil and Hindi films.
Rajinikanth was last seen in Karthick Subbaraj’s Petta, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Simran.
