Jocky’s directorial debut has been titled Shokiwala. The film, starring Ajay Rao and Sanjana Anand, is being made under the banner of Crystal Paark Cinemas and produced by TR Chandrashekar. 

The team was looking for an apt title for the film, which is set against a village backdrop, one that would go well with the film’s theme and Ajay’s character.

The makers are now happy with Showkiwala, says Jocky. “The title is completely based on Ajay’s character, who is a village youth with a carefree attitude,” the director adds. 

The film is being shot mostly in Mandya and places surrounding Channapatna and Maddur, and about 70 per cent of the shoot has been completed.

Showkiwala has dialogues by Prasanth Rajappa, music by  Sridhar V Sambraham, and cinematography by Shiva Seena.
