Biopic on Kaloji Narayana Rao in the works

To be directed by Dr. Prabhakar Jaini, the film is in the pre-production stages and will go on floors soon

Coinciding with his 106th birth anniversary, a biopic on  Padma Vibhushan Kaloji Narayana Rao, freedom fighter, poet, and political activist of Telangana, was announced today. To be directed by Dr Prabhakar Jaini, the film is in the pre-production stages and will go on floors soon.

"The film is a celebration of his life, his participation in a host of liberation movements, and his body of work that he left behind. We did extensive research of both historical documents and publications, and collected his pictures from various sources to write a comprehensive story for this film," informs Vijayalakshmi Jaini, the producer of the film.

In their attempt to make an inspiring film, the makers are planning to meet Ampasayya Naveen, VR Vidyarthi, Nagilla Ramasastry, Potlapalli, and Anwar, among others, who were closely associated with the veteran. "We are trying to be authentic and sincere with our film. We will finish the screenplay soon and will finalise the technicians and cast in a few days," she adds. 

The Kaloji biopic will have music by Ghantasala Viswanath and cinematography by Ravikumar Neerla.
