Actor Nandita Swetha's upcoming female-centric film Akshara will get a release in the second half of October.

Directed by B Chinni Krishna, and produced jointly by Suresh Varma Alluri and Ahiteja Bellamkonda, the film features Nandita Swetha in the titular role of an education activist, who launches a protest for women's rights in the corporate education system.

"The shooting has been wrapped up and the post-production is underway at a brisk pace. There aren't too many films which highlight the issues in the education system and we are happy to tell it in a powerful way, with a dose of entertainment" says Chinni Krishna.
