Actor Nandita Swetha's upcoming female-centric film Akshara will get a release in the second half of October.

Directed by B Chinni Krishna, and produced jointly by Suresh Varma Alluri and Ahiteja Bellamkonda, the film features Nandita Swetha in the titular role of an education activist, who launches a protest for women's rights in the corporate education system.

"The shooting has been wrapped up and the post-production is underway at a brisk pace. There aren't too many films which highlight the issues in the education system and we are happy to tell it in a powerful way, with a dose of entertainment" says Chinni Krishna.

Akshara also features Shakalaka Shankar, Satya, Madhu Nandan, and Sritej in supporting roles. The film has music by Suresh Bobbili and cinematography by Nagesh Banell.
