Indian screen legend Sridevi’s wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds, Singapore, earlier today. The installation is fashioned on her famous ‘Hawa Hawaai’ look from Mr India (1987). The statue was revealed in the presence of Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor, and daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.

Sridevi passed away, aged 54, in Dubai last year. Her last full feature was Mom (2018). She also had a cameo appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero, which was released posthumously.

Boney Kapoor recently dedicated the Tamil remake of Pink, titled Nerkonda Parvaai, to Sridevi’s memory.

Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut in Dhadak. Her upcoming film is The Kargil Girl, based on the life of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena. She will also be seen in the horror-comedy RoohiAfza, and the franchise film Dostana 2.

Earlier this year, Boney Kapoor had confirmed that a contemporary remake of Mr. India was in the pipeline.
