Santhanam has begun shooting for his upcoming film with Boomerang-director Kannan. The film, produced by Kannan and MK Ramaprasad, went on floors on Monday. Pegged as an action-comedy, Santhanam has learnt Silambam from Stunt Silva for the project.

While the actor-director duo have earlier worked together in Jayam Kondaan, Kanden Kadhalai, Vandhaan Vendran, and Settai, this will be the first time Santhanam plays the lead in Kannan’s film.

Earlier, there was speculation that Goundamani had been approached to play a supporting role in the film. However, official confirmation is awaited.

The film will be shot in Ambasamudram and other parts of Tirunelveli.

Last seen in A1, Santhanam has films such as Server Sundaram and Dagalty in the pipeline.
