Thadam Telugu remake titled Red 

A remake of Tamil action-crime thriller Thadam, the film will have Ram play a dual role and also reunite him with director Kishore Tirumala

Telugu actor Ram Pothineni, who was last seen in iSmart Shankar, has announced his new film. 
The actor revealed that the film will be titled Red officially via Twitter. "This one is going to be so bloody-different," wrote Ram. 

A remake of Tamil action-crime thriller Thadam, the film will have Ram play a dual role and also reunite him with director Kishore Tirumala, after Nenu Sailaja and Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi

The story of Thadam revolves around a murder case, which takes an unexpected turn when the cops learn that the suspect has an identical twin. In the original, Arun Vijay played the lead role and 7G Brundavan Colony-fame Sonia Agarwal was seen as his mother. 

The Telugu version will see actors Nivetha Pethuraj and Malvika Sharma play the female leads. Shooting will commence on November 16 for this remake backed by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, with music by Mani Sharma. 

The film will arrive in theatres on April 9, 2020.
