Ritu Varma has signed a feel-good love story opposite Naga Shaurya, which will be directed by debutante Lakshmi Sowjanya. Initially, the makers were keen on getting Super 30-fame Mrunal Thakur on board, but things did not work out.

"The film is a love story and the makers felt that Ritu and Shaurya's pairing will be interesting," says a source.

The first schedule is likely to commence on November 15 and the makers are planning to shoot the film in the picturesque locales of Darjeeling, Dehradun, Kerala, Visakhapatnam, and Paris.

In addition to this, Ritu Varma will also be seen in the Tamil films, Dhruva Natchathiram and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, and an untitled Telugu film with Sharwanand. She was last seen in Telugu in Nikhil's crime action thriller, Keshava (2017).
