Lovely Singh, who hails from Mathura, is set to make her acting debut with Vishal's upcoming investigative thriller Thupparivaalan 2. A sequel to the acclaimed 2017 hit of the same name, the film is being written and directed by Mysskin once again.

"Lovely Singh will be seen as a Muslim girl in the film. She went through a one-on-one audition session with Mysskin, who gave her an intense scene that required her to scream at high-pitch. She pulled it off like a pro and landed the female lead's role," says a source.

Produced by Vishal Film Factory, Thupparivaalan 2, with music by Ilaiyaraaja, will go on floors in December and the team is planning to wrap up the entire shoot in London for 45 days. Prasanna, who played Vishal's sidekick in the first part, will reprise his character in the sequel.

Thupparivaalan, which featured Vishal in a role modelled after Sherlock Holmes,was released in Telugu as Detective.
