With only few hours remaining for Bigil's release, the film’s director Atlee interacted with fans on Twitter. The hashtag #AskAtlee, through which Twitterati interacted with the filmmaker, ranked top in the country trends on the social media site.

While answering the questions from fans, Atlee admitted that he would like to direct Superstar Rajinikanth and Dhanush in the future. He also added that he will be working with Shah Rukh Khan in the near future.

The filmmaker also heaped praise on Kannada star Yash, who shot to nation-wide fame through KGF: Chapter 1, in response to a question about whether he liked the blockbuster Kannada film.

The Raja Rani director also said that he likes Rayappan (Vijay's character in Bigil) the most out of all his creations.  

Bigil, also starring Nayanthara and Jackie Shroff, is the third collaboration of Vijay and Atlee. The film has music by AR Rahman.
