Kadambur Raju, the Minister for Information and Publicity, announced today evening that the government has ordered theatres across the state to cancel the special early morning shows for the Diwali releases Bigil and Kaithi.

Sharing the announcement through his official Twitter handle, he also added that this act of the government will prevent exorbitant and illegal pricing of film tickets.

It was rumoured widely a few days ago in social media that the government had greenlit the early morning shows and there would not be changes in both the ticket prices and show timings. But this announcement of Kadambur Raju has put an end to all the speculations.

This announcement of the government will likely take a toll on the opening weekend collection of both the Diwali releases.
