Will Bigil, Kaithi early morning shows happen?

CE Features

The release date of Bigil is fast approaching, but the film is mired in numerous issues, including plagiarism allegations. The Vijay-starrer is set to hit screens worldwide this Diwali (October 25), and with early moring shows becoming the norm for almost all big budget films, it was expected that Bigil too would have such special screenings on the release date. However, a new statement by Kadambur Raju, the Tamil Nadu Minister for Information and Publicity, has ruined hopes for this.

Kadambur Raju has said that no producer has required permission for screening early morning shows for Diwali. In a tweet, he said, “So far, no films, which are releasing for Diwali, have been given permission for early morning shows. Strict actions will be taken against theatres screening such special shows and charging exorbitant amounts for tickets.”

Vijay fans are now left wondering whether or not early morning shows will happen for Bigil.

Also starring Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Jackie Shroff, and Kathir, Bigil is directed by Atlee. AGS Entertainment has produced the film, which has music by AR Rahman.

Other than Bigil, Karthi’s Kaithi is also releasing on October 25. And the fate of the early morning shows of that film too is now in question.
