Actor-filmmaker Lal, who was last seen in Prabhas’s Saaho, will be playing a key role in Dhanush’s upcoming film with Mari Selvaraj. The actor confirmed the same on social media and has also revealed that he will begin shooting for the project in December. 

Tentatively called D41, the film will have music by Santhosh Narayanan. Produced by Kalaipuli Thanu, speculation suggests that this film might star Malayalam actor Rajisha Vijayan as the female lead. Karnan is one of the probable titles that has been doing the rounds. 

Notably, D40, Dhanush’s current project with Karthik Subbaraj also has two Malayalam actors - Aishwarya Lekshmi and Joju George - playing important roles.   

Dhanush, meanwhile, was last seen in Asuran directed by Vetri Maaran. D41 will be Mari’s second film after the much appreciated Pariyerum Perumal.
