Days after multiple gunshots were fired at Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai, the Mumbai Crime Branch has revealed that he was not the shooters’ original target.
As per an ANI report the police has said that the assailants had plans to target another prominent Bollywood celebrity but ultimately shifted towards Tiger after finding that the former’s security was too tight.
The Mumbai Crime Branch told ANI, “Tiger Shroff was not the shooters’ original target. The three shooters were targeting a prominent Bollywood celebrity. However, the celebrity’s security was so tight that the shooters were unable to target them.” The agency added, “Later, the shooters decided to target Tiger Shroff, believing he would be an easier target, and opened fire at him instead.”
The celebrity’s identity has not been revealed by the cops.
Tiger was on his way back from a football club in Mumbai, when three men fired five rounds at the actor near Juhu's Pushpa Narsee Park. Many videos of Tiger taking the driver seat and rushing to the hospital surfaced on social media as the assailants fled on a motorcycle. The accused were later arrested by police in Rajasthan’s Kota.
On Monday, US-based gangster Anil Pandit claimed responsibility for firing at Tiger’s car. In an audio received by multiple security agencies after the incident, he was heard threatening the film industry and asking Salman Khan to apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and to the Bishnoi community or else “face the consequences.”
