We had previously reported that Gautham Menon will be joining hands with Vels International Films for a new film, which would likely star Varun in the lead. Now, reports suggest that it is all but confirmed that the Puppy-actor has been roped in for the project. 

Several sources state that AR Rahman has been approached to compose music for the film. An official announcement regarding the title of the project, cast, and crew can be expected soon.

Meanwhile, Gautham, who is playing the antagonist in GV Prakash's next directed by Mathimaran, announced recently that his long-delayed Enai Nokki Paayum Thota would most probably be hitting the screens on November 15.
