The trailer of actor Vijay Deverakonda's maiden production venture, Meeku Maathrame Cheptha was released yesterday. The film, which will be Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam's first as the lead, marks the directorial debut of Chennai-based short-filmmaker Shammeer Sultan.

Going by the two-minute trailer, the film appears to be a satirical take on smartphone addiction and how a prospective groom (played by Tharun Bhascker) struggles to stop a video leaked from his mobile phone from going viral.

Vani Bhojan is paired opposite Tharun Bhascker in the film, which also stars Anasuya Bharadwaj, Abhinav Gomatam and Avantika Mishra. The post-production has been wrapped up and Meeku Maathrame Cheptha is gearing up for release on November 1.
