Tamil director Pradeep Krishnamoorthy and actor Rajasekhar were supposed to join hands for an emotional thriller, written by John Mahendran. The film, which was expected to go on floors in October with a release next March, has been shelved as the actor and filmmakers could not come to an agreement.

Sources close to Rajasekhar have not offered any explanation about dropping the film, but Cinema Express learned that there were a few aspects that he could not agree on and thus decided to not take the film forward.

Produced by G Dhananjayam, the film was also meant to star actors Brahmanandam, Sathyaraj and Nasser in important roles. It is unclear if Pradeep and Dhananjayam will replace Rajasekhar with another actor or stop production completely.

It may be recalled that Dhananjayan acquired the Tamil remake rights of the Telugu suspense thriller Napolean: The Man Who Lost His Shadow and contemplated roping in Vijay Anthony for the lead role. However, that the project too ran into trouble and he has been trying to find a suitable actor to reprise Anand Ravi's part.
