Vineet Kumar Singh to star in Susi Ganeshan’s next 

The crime thriller will be a remake of a superhit Tamil film

Vineet Kumar Singh will play the lead in Susi Ganeshan’s upcoming Bollywood film. Touted to be a crime thriller, the untitled project will be a remake of a superhit Tamil film.

Susi has directed the Tamil films Five Star, Virumbugiren, Thiruttu Payale, Kanthaswamy, and Thiruttu Payale 2. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Shortcut Romeo, a remake of Thiruttu Payale, the film starred Neil Nitin Mukesh, Puja Gupta, and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles. Susi was accused of sexual harassment by independent filmmaker Leena Manimekalai and Amala Paul last year under the #MeToo movement. 

Susi’s upcoming project will be backed by producer Ramesh Reddy. The film will be extensively shot in Lucknow and Varanasi. The first schedule is expected to begin post Diwali. 

Vineet Kumar Singh rose to fame with his roles in Gangs of Wasseypur, Ugly, and Mukkabaaz. He was recently seen in the Netflix series, Bard of Blood, where he played an Indian spy. His upcoming releases are Saand Ki Aankh and Aadhaar. He’s also a part of the Gunjan Saxena biopic, starring Janhvi Kapoor.
