Samantha finishes shooting for 96 Telugu remake

One of the most celebrated Tamil films of recent times, it is known that 96 is being remade in Telugu, headlined by Samantha. The latest on this project is that shooting has been completed. Taking to Twitter, Samantha made the announcement herself.

While Trisha’s role is played by Samantha, Sharwanand reprises Vijay Sethupathi’s role from the original. The remake is helmed by C Premkumar, who also directed the original. Gowri Kishen, who shot to fame playing the younger version of Janu, will reprise her role in Telugu as well
