We had previously reported that Vikram, who was last seen in Kadaram Kondan earlier this year, will be teaming up with Imaikka Nodigal director Ajay Gnanamuthu for his next. While the announcement was made back in May this year, the team had not updated any developments on the yet to be announced project until yesterday. In a reply to a tweet by a Vikram fan who posted a meme and enquiring about the film, Ajay said the shooting will commence from 4th October and updates can be expected soon. 

Said to be an action thriller, the film will be hitting the screens in April, next year. Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio and Viacom 18 Studios are co-producing this venture which will have music by AR Rahman. Priya Bhavani Shankar is speculated to play the female lead in this film which is said to feature Vikram in multiple looks. 

Meanwhile, Vikram will next be seen in Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram followed by the multilingual Mahavir Karna and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan adaptation.
