Pyaar Ka Punchnama-fame Sunny Singh will essay the role of a prematurely balding man in his upcoming film, Ujda Chaman. The film, produced by Kumar Mangat, marks the directorial debut of producer Abhishek Pathak.

The comedy-drama is set to arrive on November 8, two weeks before the release Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Ayushmann’s film also revolves around a man suffering from hair loss.

The trailer of Ujda Chaman was launched earlier today. In the film, Sunny plays Chaman Kohli, a bachelor with premature balding, who is told by an astrologer that he will never get married if he doesn’t do so by age 30. The film also stars Manvi Gagroo, Saurabh Shukla, Atul Kumar, and Gagan Arora. In an apparent dig at Bala, the film’s tagline reads, “Takle ki pehli aur asli film.”

Sunny Singh was last seen in Jhootha Kahin Ka. He plays the lead in the upcoming romantic comedy Jai Mummy Di.
