Mamta Mohandas replaces Rima Kallingal in Joothan

Mamta will reportedly essay the role of a popular National award-winning actor

We had reported earlier that director Bhadran is making a comeback after a long hiatus with a new film, titled Joothan. The principal cast was earlier announced as Soubin Shahir, Joju George, and Rima Kallingal. However, as per the latest update, Mamta Mohandas has replaced Rima.

Mamta will reportedly essay the role of a popular National award-winning actor. The film is said to be a psychological thriller with a script by S Suresh Babu, who had previously written films like Nadan, Shikkar, and Kanal. S Lokanathan will be cranking the camera and Sushin Shyam will do the music.

Mamta is currently shooting for debutant Akhil Paul’s Forensic, in which she is sharing the screen with Tovino Thomas. She was last seen in Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel.

Bhadran’s last directorial was Udayon, released 14 years ago.
