Popular actor joins Vijay's Thalapathy 64

Prem Kumar, who has played supporting roles in many films, has been roped in to play an important role in Vijay's next with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 64The actor was last seen in Suriya's Kaappaan, Siddharth and GV Prakash's Sivappu Manjal Pachai, and Tamannah's Petromax.

Prem took to Twitter to confirm his involvement in the Vijay-starrer.

Thalapathy 64, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, Ramya Subramanian, and Antony Varghese, is touted to be a dark action-thriller, set in the backdrop of a college.

The project is progressing at a brisk pace and speculations state that the film, bankrolled by XB Film Creators, will get a release on April 9 next year. 

Thalapathy 64 has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.
